Requirements

Education Qualifications

• Graduation or Post Graduation preferably in Economics, Statistics, Finance, or relevant field.

Work Experience

• Experience of at least 1-5 years in European/ US commodities research, swaps desk, trading desk at a mid-sized I -Bank or Hedge Fund is preferred.
• Strong understanding of physical markets of Commodities/ Energy markets is preferred
• Excel-based modelling experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with risk of strategies involving futures/options/swaps is preferred.

Skill Set

• Track the fundamental themes developing across the globe in energy markets including crude oil and refined products and form scenario analysis. 2. Understand the physical market developments globally and connect to which themes are likely to develop ahead. 3. Work closely with Financial Market Analysts to gather requirements, create applications, and develop technical solutions that suit the Analyst needs. 4. Work with Market Analysts to create Strategies on the markets. 5. Create tools that help market analysts to make quick decisions in the market. 6. Money flow analysis to understand the positioning and setup of the market 7. Continuously track several data points to identify anomalies and opportunities in the market 8. Focus on upgrading performance and enhancing the knowledge base of the Team.
• Strong analytical skills – preferably in fundamental analysis of Commodities/Energy markets.
• Excellent understanding of statistics, data modeling and PCA.
• Excellent in taking initiative and following up on discussions
• Good with technical analysis.
• Experience of data manipulation techniques, preferably market data of financial markets.
• Be able to work as part of a team, sharing responsibilities and knowledge across the team.
• Be able to prioritize and manage users' expectations.
