Research Analyst – Commodities (Position ##2005)

Position Summary

As a Research Analyst, you will use your quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; knowledge of technology, information systems, and the web; as well as your research abilities to work with more senior colleagues and support the operational work of the Research Team.

Job Profile

Research, collect and compile information; Maintain and update quantitative and qualitative economic, financial, or statistical databases.
Analyze macro-economic and central bank news that impact commodities derivatives
Design systems/set-ups competent to generate trade recommendations based on fundamental/technical analyses
Usage of Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Excel and other resources.
Usage of quantitative analysis to scan the markets and make models that can generate trading signals.
Usage of technical analysis, charting and application of other market timing methods to suggest market trends and trading opportunities across different time frames (mainly short term).
Focus on generating P/L and enhancing the knowledge base of the Market Analysts. Will be covering research for Commodities Markets (Grains, Softs etc)
Will play an active role in training of new recruits
Will be required to work European Hours

Requirements

Education Qualifications

Financial background preferred (Degree in Economics or MBA in Finance)

Work Experience

0 - 5 years in European/US commodities research

Skill Set

Good communication skills and should be comfortable giving presentations

Compensation: Compensation will have two components – Base salary & a variable bonus
